2 December – 1790-1800: Proust & Fulhame
Day 2 of the chemistry advent timeline looks at two lesser-known chemists. Joseph Proust proposed that elements combine to form compounds in fixed proportions. Little is known about the life of Elizabeth Fulhame, but in her sole publication, she was the first person to describe catalytic processes.
