Today’s periodic table highlights elements that could be in short supply in the coming years if current usage rates continue. ‘Endangered’ in this sense means that supplies could be under threat in future years based on current known deposits and economic feasibility of extraction. While it doesn’t mean these elements will ever disappear completely, it does mean that alternatives may have to be sought for some applications.
