2018 Nobel Prize in Physics

After the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine was awarded yesterday, today was the turn of Physics. The 2018 Nobel Prize in Physics was awarded to Arthur Ashkin, Gérard Morou and Donna Strickland for their groundbreaking innovations in the field of laser physics. Strickland is only the third woman to win the Nobel Prize in Physics and the first since 1963. This graphic takes a look at the prize-winning research.
